As a few of you may have heard, one of our dear student DJs, Austin Plummer died last Sunday
in a mountain climbing accident at Yosemite. DJ Austintacious hosted the glam rock fabulous show “Boys Like Girls” last Spring and “Stuck in the Garage”, a garage rock show this summer. He was a wonderful addition to our station and we’re all very sorry to see him go so soon. This Thursday on the regularly scheduled Stuck in the Garage, we’ll be airing some highlights from previous shows of his, playing some songs in his memory, and wishing him a peaceful journey on.

If you are a friend or family member of Austin and would like to share a few words with our listeners, I encourage you to contact us at music@kzsc.org or call-in to the show as it airs.

With love,

KZSC

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be interviewing Mason Jennings live in studio on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:15 PM. He’s going to play a show at The Catalyst that night, and he has graciously given up an hour of his busy day to come up to KZSC and play a few acoustic songs in our air studio. Be sure to tune in, it should be a thought provoking and interesting little music experience. Thanks in advance for tuning into the Great 88!
