Nursery live on The Rising Tide tonight!

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Nursery electro-dance two-piece is comprised of composer Frank Wong and singer Emma Jean and has been tearing up a storm around town recently, playing to both captivated house shows as well as an impressive late-day performance at May’s SCUMFest. The electrifying duo will be making their Crepe Place debut on September 22nd (opening for electro-folk balladeer Casiotone for the Painfully Alone), and will appear on The Rising Tide this Friday night, July 9th, at 8:30 to perform some of their electro bangers and talk about the trials and tribulations of being an upcoming electronic dance act in a town not necessarily known for churning them out like other metropolitan cities.

Harlequin Baby on The Rising Tide TONITEEE!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

Harlequin Baby’s synth-fueled madness firmly plants them as one of Santa Cruz’s most remarkable and original acts, even amid the town’s diverse and rich resource of local musicians. The group has been gaining momentum as of late, performing memorably at the Santa Cruz Underground Music festival (or SCUM Fest), and they will be making their radio debut tonight on the Rising Tide on KZSC Santa Cruz at 8:30pm sharp! Be sure to turn in and hear this breakthrough group perform a few songs live in the studio as well as talk about their upcoming Crepe Place show on June 30th where they’ll be performing with lo-fi dance artist Nite Jewel.
