Ledward Kaapana, from Hawai’i Island, playing his inimitable slack key guitar style, rallies in the redwoods with Fran Guidry on Wednesday. These gentlemen of music perform at 7:30 pm Wednesday, August 26th. Led has been entertaining audiences since “small kid kind” days in the tiny village of Kalapana, with the black sand bay. There were no distractions such as TV way back when, so sweet pure music playing was the party entertainment. Ledward most recently performed “down the wharf” in Santa Cruz for the Aloha Outrigger races and Polynesian festival this last Sunday. If you missed that fun, here’s another chance to see and hear the rascal Ledward talk story and play music. Fran Guidry brings his own guitar art to the stage and together, these men will make the strings sing.
