This playlist is inspired by my (somehow) 12-hour roadtrip from Santa Cruz to LA. I had a 3 hour detour on the 1 (there was a rock slide near Big Sur and I had to turn back). However, Carmel was beautiful. I had never been before. I went to a little hole-in-the-wall stationary shop before stopping at Carmel River State Beach. I put a handful of sand into my purse… not sure if that’s illegal or not. Nobody truly knows themselves until they’re driving along the coast, hand out the window, sunglasses on, singing along to Belle and Sebastian.
