This was a highly anticipated concert for me personally, I had wanted to go for a while but was holding off on buying tickets because I couldn’t afford it. I was able to find people selling their last minute tickets the day off and bought GA tickets for $65 each, a great deal considering the show was sold-out.
The concert began with dimming the house lights to set the ambiance of the show. DJ Nitrane really set the energy of the crowd, mixing lots of R&B, trap, and some bay area classics. Getting the audience to cheer and dance to the songs. Even though the opener was Djing the whole time, he was still able to deliver a great set and interact with the crowd, overall making the show exciting and interactive. It was a great prelude to Bryson Tiller’s upcoming set.

Between Dj Nitrane and Bryson Tiller’s set, energy was high, in a good and bad way. The venue was packed and GA was crowded, some people were not too happy about the crowdedness and heat being in the audience and I witnessed some fights break out over this. It was quite chaotic to say the least.

Once the lights dimmed and the music started up again, everyone directed their attention to the stage. The intro of “Run Me Dry” played and instantly the crowd began to cheer as Bryson Tiller made his appearance on stage. The stage and lights created a futuristic and cyber-aesthetic, and his jacket lined with lights complemented this. His setlist was a curated mix of hits from his discography playing songs from Trapsoul, Anniversary, and his latest album, ensuring long-time fans and newer listeners alike to be able to sing along. Some highlights were “Exchange” where the crowd’s voice overpowered Tiller’s own voice, and “Don’t” which had the whole venue swaying and singing together. And “Whatever She Wants” getting the crowd hyped up and singing along. His transitions between songs were almost effortless, had me wondering how he had such great endurance performing banger after banger.
Bryson Tiller’s silky vocals and captivating stage presence made the concert memorable. Definitely a talented artist worth seeing live. Personally I can say I can live happily after experiencing Bryson Tiller perform live.
