Computer Love: A Modern Romance Playlist (Techies Disregard)

Since the invention of technology, communicating with the cuties in our lives has been a post-apocalyptic nightmare. Subtle nuances in tone get lost in translation, you get left on read, your crush’s tweets aren’t funny. It’s enough to make a person want to go off the grid completely. But, of course, that’s never going to happen. Instead, we stare longingly into our cracked iPhone 7 screens anxiously waiting for that one person to watch your Instagram story. Existing within the walls of a body is humiliating enough already, and yet, our online presence must somehow convey a perfectly niche and delicately curated version of ourselves.
This isn’t a think piece about how technology is ~actually~ making us less connected, thank god, but instead an ode to phones, computers, and everything that is modern love! It’s ridiculous, it’s embarrassing, and lucky for you, it’s in a convenient little playlist.
With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I thought it would be appropriate to create a playlist filled with some of my favorite post-modern love songs.
