FAV TRACKS: Intro, Sticks (feat. DaBaby), Big 4x Freestyle, 4th of July (feat. Offset), Ashley (feat. DaBaby)

Frequent DaBaby collaborator and fellow North Carolina native Stunna 4 Vegas is looking to make a name for himself on his debut project, BIG 4x. Stunna has also signed with Interscope Records along with DaBaby, and the two have also started their own label, dubbed “Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment”.

Similar to DaBaby, Stunna’s production is catchy and high-energy. When the two hop on the same track, they play off each other really well. DaBaby has been seeing great success recently; his hit song, ‘Suge’, has been hanging near the Billboard Top 10 charts for quite some time now.

Production by Jetson Made is always welcome, the thumping 808s adds a bounce to the beats. Most of the beats are from different producers, yet the mixtape manages to sound decently consistent throughout.

The project starts off strong, with a solo intro track, which then leads into a track with DaBaby. Unfortunately, as the tape goes into its last third, it starts to sound very similar, and tracks blend into one another. Stunna’s flow and delivery are a cut better than your average Soundcloud rapper nowadays, but with similar sounding beats and flows, DaBaby’s music seems to have more replay value and longevity.

‘4th of July’ features an Offset verse which actually compliments Stunna’s style really nicely. Offset comes in with his now all-too familiar growling delivery, but like the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. The two work well together to create a hard-hitting, ear-catching track.

All in all, the debut project by Stunna 4 Vegas is one full of potential and fun, high-octane songs with plenty of features. Although his sound may get a bit repetitive towards the end of the tracklist, there is more than enough on here to keep fans and newcomers satisfied for the time being.
