It’s been almost three weeks since the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics have concluded. One certainty that hasn’t come to end is the excellence of Chloe Kim. Officially a two-time Olympic gold medalist, Chloe Kim is making history at only 21 years of age. With her most recent gold medal victory, Chloe Kim became the first woman in Olympic history to win back-to-back gold medals in the women’s halfpipe event.

Kim has dominated the Olympics scene since her debut at the Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics of 2018. At 17 years old, Kim became the youngest halfpipe gold medalist in history at the Pyeong Chang Games. Before the 2018 Olympics, Kim qualified for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics but because she was only 13 years old she was deemed too young to compete. Outside of the Olympics, Chloe Kim has dominated all aspects of snowboarding competition. At just 14 years old, Kim won the gold medal in SuperPipe at the 2015 X Games. She is currently a 6-time X Games gold medalist in SuperPipe. At the US Snowboarding Grand Prix, Kim became the first woman to ever land back-to-back 1080s. Perhaps the most remarkable accomplishment of her career is becoming the first athlete ever to win all four major snowboarding titles, the Olympics, Worlds, Youth Olympics, and the X Games.

Look for Chloe Kim to dominate the competition from now until the 2026 Winter Games where she looks to go back-to-back-to-back for gold in the women’s halfpipe.
