Folks, the big game has arrived. This coming Sunday, February 12th, Super Bowl LVII will conclude a long and exciting NFL season. The final game of the 22/23 season combines the two most potent offenses against each other as the NFC Champ Philadelphia Eagles will take on the AFC champ Kansas City Chiefs. The action kicks off at 3 pm PT and will take place in Glendale, Arizona at the State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals.
The Super Bowl matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles is shaping up to be a thrilling contest. The Chiefs lead the NFL in total touchdowns with 61 and the Eagles were second in the league with 59 total touchdowns. In addition to each teams’ productive offenses, both sides have strong defenses that have played effective football throughout the playoffs.
On one side, you have the always-dangerous Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Mahomes led the league in total passing yards with 5250 and passing touchdowns with 41 on the year. With dynamic offensive weapons such as Travis Kelce, Jerick McKinnon, and Juju Smith-Schuster, the Chiefs will look to repeat their Super Bowl success from the 2019/20 season.
On the other side, you have the Eagles, who have been on a roll all season with the breakout play of rising star quarterback Jalen Hurts. The Eagles ran the ball better than anyone all year, leading the league in rushing touchdowns with 32, and stood fifth in total rushing yards. With a strong defense that includes standout players such as Haason Reddick, Javon Hargrave, and Brandon Graham, the Eagles will look to slow down the high-powered Chiefs offense and allow their powerful run game to will them to victory.
